He also received certifications in Production (Oil and Gas) from University of Texas at Austin and also a Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics (PGP DSBA) from the same University.
He is currently finalizing an MBA program with specialization in Oil and Gas Management. His technical experience covers Oil and Gas Production optimization, Well bore clean up, Maximum Efficiency Rate (MER) testing, Nodal analysis, Artificial Lift and Reservoir management among other areas. He has a passion to identify additional production opportunities from Brown Field Development. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and NSChE.
In 2001, he started his career with Mobil Producing (Exxon Mobil) in the Reservoir Engineering department working in the East Area team and later responsible for Asset Development and Depletion Plans (ADDP) before proceeding to Addax Petroleum in 2004 where he was initially a Technical Liaison representative to NAPIMS/NNPC. While in Addax, he subsequently joined the Asset Management team where he worked in OMLs 123 and 126 teams as a Production Technologist. During his career in Addax, he was part of the OML 123 Production Optimization Team (POT) that successfully recommended and increased production in OML 123 by over 5000 bopd with a rigless operation using a Self-Elevated Work Over Platform (SEWOP). He was also a key member in the successful kick off in the new Kita Marine Field that increased production by over 15,000 bopd. He successfully supervised the MER tests in OML 123 Field leading to a technical allowable of about 60,000 bopd. His passion for production optimization cannot be over emphasized as he also made several other contributions in the OMLs 123 and 126 teams. He consulted for Laser Engineering shortly before joining Planoplex Limited in August 2014. As Senior Production Technologist while at Planoplex, he worked with the Multi-disciplinary Production Optimization team that interphase with NPDC’s team in the highly prolific OML 30 concession and several Production optimization recommendations were made to NPDC for implementation. Thereafter he was appointed Technical Team Lead. He joined the Sahara Upstream Company (SEFL) as a Production Technologist in March 2015. He has been part of the Team engaging NAPIMS during SUBCOM, TECOM and MACOM meetings. From 2016 to 2020, he was on Secondment with OML 18, being operated by Eroton Exploration and Production Limited where he participated in Field Development Plans (FDPs) and Production optimization activities that ramped up production from about 10,000 bopd to about 40,000 bopd. He is currently part of a new project in the Sahara Group Upstream where production enhancement. activities are required. He has attended several Oil and Gas International Courses in United States and in United Kingdom.
